At its heart, Wholesome Kink is about permission: permission to crave, to communicate, and to play. As open as I am with my husband, I still long for the kind of conversations you can only have with other women—wives who understand the push and pull of intimacy, the joy of surrender, and the thrill of being cherished. You can’t exactly bring up submissive sex fantasies over brunch with the in-laws. Your friends may be kind, but they’re not always the right audience for your most delicious desires.
That’s why I’m dreaming of something more.
I hope to build a community—one where women (and men) like me can gather, anonymously if they wish, and speak openly about what lights them up. It doesn’t exist yet, but I’m working toward it. I imagine a space where we can ask questions, share rituals, trade stories, and support each other in becoming more attuned, more confident, and more erotically alive with the person we love.
